Past Hangouts

1st Edition

What began as a simple hangout among friends blossomed into a memorable afternoon themed “Reboot,” filled with enriching conversations, lively dancing, delicious bites, and thoughtful gifts. Held on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at the host’s home in Lagos Mainland, the gathering brought together over 35 friends for an unforgettable experience.

Attendees enjoyed insightful talks from distinguished guests, including Mrs. Abimbola Adunola Adebakin, an esteemed Corporate Trainer and Strategic Leadership Consultant; Olufisayo Momodu, a leading Psychiatrist and mental health researcher; Gloria George, Health Expert; and Hauwa Ojeifo, Executive Director of She Writes Woman. This inspiring afternoon left a lasting impression, empowering each guest to reset and recharge.

2nd Edition

The 2nd Edition of Hangoutwithtee, themed “Be a Better Woman,” unfolded on April 30, 2017, in the vibrant neighborhood of Yaba, Lagos.

Under the theme “Be a Better Woman,” the event focused on fostering self-improvement and equipping women with the knowledge and tools to thrive in various aspects of their lives. The topics were carefully chosen to address real-life challenges and opportunities, making the day not only engaging but also deeply meaningful.

Attendees were treated to a series of impactful talks delivered by seasoned professionals. Highlights included: Landing the Perfect Job: Practical tips and strategies to stand out in the job market, presented by an expert who understands the dynamics of career success. Navigating Real Estate: A session that demystified the complexities of property investment, offering valuable insights for women interested in owning or managing real estate.  Understanding Fibroids: A candid and informative discussion on women’s health, with a focus on awareness, prevention, and treatment of fibroids—a topic that resonated with many in the audience.

From the carefully curated topics to the warm interactions among participants, the 2nd edition of Hangoutwithtee truly lived up to its theme. It was a testament to the power of women coming together to support and uplift one another—a day to be remembered and cherished.

3rd Edition

The 3rd Edition of Hangoutwithtee took place on Sunday, September 3rd, 2017, and left participants buzzing with excitement and inspiration. Following glowing testimonies from attendees, it was evident that this event was not just another gathering but a memorable celebration of personal growth, creativity, and connection.

From thought-provoking personal development talks to electrifying performances of music and poetry, every moment was crafted to leave a lasting impression. Guests also participated in interactive games and a lively dancing competition that had everyone on their feet, cheering and laughing.

The atmosphere was nothing short of vibrant, with a setup that radiated charm and warmth. Guests enjoyed delicious YumYum beef roll, and were delighted to receive goody bags from SoKlin Nigeria, adding a touch of generosity to the event.

The lineup of guest speakers and performers added immense value to the day. Glory Edozien captivated the audience with her insights on self-development, while Mofolusade Sonaike inspired with her entrepreneurial wisdom. The soulful tunes of Maka and the dynamic performance by MsEvaJohnson added a perfect blend of creativity and artistry, leaving the crowd enthralled.

4th Edition

The fourth edition of the Hangout with Tee women’s empowerment event, held on March 18, was a powerful experience that can be summed up in two words: uplifting and healing. From the inspiring speaker lineup to the diverse attendees, everything about the event reflected these themes.

The atmosphere was filled with empowerment, as a dedicated nurse provided health checkups while remarkable women like Adenike Oyetunde and Mercy Makinde shared their personal journeys. The spoken word artist Ella Fortte added to the depth of the experience, and Titi Oyemade, the visionary behind the event, truly showcased the strength of women. The attendees, coming from all walks of life, each had their own unique stories and aspirations, yet they were united in their mission to support, learn from, and empower one another—a beautiful sight to behold.

With a perfect blend of insightful talks, fun giveaways, and energizing dance sessions, this event truly had it all. It was a day of connection, inspiration, and celebration of the boundless potential of women.

5th Edition

It was an electrifying experience as Sofy Sanitary Pad hosted an unforgettable afternoon at the 5th edition of Hangoutwithtee. Women from all walks of life, hailing from different corners of Lagos, gathered at Panda Events Hall in Sabo for an afternoon brimming with inspiration, insightful talks, networking, exhibitions, games, dance-offs, giveaways, and other exciting activities. It was a dynamic blend of learning, connecting, and fun, where women could engage, grow, and let loose.

The event, themed ‘No Be Today’, was hosted by the charismatic On Air Personality Ugochi and seasoned broadcaster Loular. The afternoon featured two dynamic speakers and three electrifying performers. The speakers, Maureen Iyasele, the passionate founder of The Job Mag Centre, and Tobi Martins Odukoya, a creative writer and public speaker, shared their empowering journeys. The audience was further entertained by Nigeria’s number one female drummer, Topsticks, the soulful spoken word artist Kemi Ladipo, and the rising musician Angel. With a mix of life-changing talks, soul-stirring music, poetry, and dance, the event truly embodied the spirit of creativity, empowerment, and celebration.

6th Edition

The 6th edition of HangoutWithTee was nothing short of extraordinary, drawing over 500 lively and empowered women for an unforgettable experience. Held on April 7th, 2019, at the Panda Events Centre in Sabo, Lagos, the event was an explosion of energy, inspiration, and pure fun.

Packed with powerful speakers, the hangout featured incredible stories of resilience and triumph. Toke Mabogunje, Deputy President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tewa Onasanya, Publisher and Mindset Stylist, and Vimbai Mutinhiri, Zimbabwean Actress and On-Air Personality, each shared their personal journeys of overcoming challenges on the path to success, leaving the audience deeply inspired.

The entertainment was just as captivating, with performances by the talented female poet, The Bio Poet, and musical artists like Shade, the female guitarist and singer; Lady Yudy; Nekky, The Body Confidence Chick; and the high-energy Funmi Sax Ajayi, a saxophonist who had the crowd on their feet.

And if that wasn’t enough, the ladies were treated to an array of exciting free gifts from generous sponsors such as Sofy Sanitary Pad, Tasty Cubes, 9JA Energy Drink, Kelloggs Nigeria, So Klin, Supreme Noodles, Pizza Hut, Aunty Helen’s Food, Sweet Kiwi Yoghurt, and many more.

7th Edition

At its 7th edition, Hangoutwithtee proudly hosted Unwrap AM on Sunday, April 10th, 2022, in Sabo Yaba, Lagos. The event was a vibrant celebration of empowerment, featuring the distribution of free gifts, inspiring speeches, and exciting activities such as dance competitions and raffle draws.

The event’s theme, “unwrap am,” urged women to embrace their talents and take bold steps toward their dreams. Speakers including Bimbo Oloyede, CEO of Strictly Speaking; Marcy Dolapo Oni, actress and media personality; and Mojibade Sosanya, a communications expert, shared powerful messages that uplifted and inspired attendees.

Sponsored by Lady Care Sanitary Pads and several other organizations, the event also showcased captivating performances from female poet Kemistree, Ebele the flutist, Eniola Larondo, the female talking drummer, and more. Unwrap AM was truly an empowering celebration of women’s voices, talents, and limitless potential.
